Happy Land Tree Farms is a family business, owned and operated by brothers Ken and Phil Olson. They are accompanied in the business with many other family members working on the farm as well.

Ken started in the tree business in 1963 at the age of 15. He very much enjoyed the tree business, and saw his future in a partnership with his brother Phil. They began planting trees on each of their own home sites in their spare time, and in 1991 when the trees reached maturity, they incorporated.

Happy Land Tree Farms has now grown into a thriving wholesale nursery business, as well as continuing to be a part of the Christmas Tree Business. With a lot of hard work and dedication,

Happy Land is now comprised of over 600 acres planted with a wide variety of coniferous and deciduous trees.

In 2005, we built a new office to serve our customers better. It enabled us start a new gift shop during the Christmas season and provide concessions in a nice atmosphere to warm up in after cutting your Christmas tree.

Kens avid outdoorsman interests started him in Elk Farming, which is located at Happy Land Tree Farms and offers much enjoyment for the public to visit at the Cut Your Own.
