Remember to put your trees to bed with wet feet for the winter. Trees do need to be watered right up until the ground freezes. Make sure to water out past the edge of the root line. Place 3-4 inches of mulch around the tree and out past the root line to help maintain the trees moisture.
Serbian Spruce is a superb variety to consider for your next project. This tree has a beautiful, dense, narrow pyramid shape with pendulous branches. The needles are flat, shiny green on the topside and whitish underneath. The two toned needles provide a showy display when the branches move in the wind.
